EU Legislation on Traditional Herbal Medicines
Funtumia Elastica is used as a herbal preparation to support the respiratory system. As we are not allowed by law to associate the herb with any medical conditions or physiological benefits, we are unable to allow access to these areas in the UK as they would shed light on the traditional use of the herb and the medicinal benefits thereby derived from its use. 1. How do I take Funtumia Elastica Powder? |
|
|
POWDER:
Take 1/4 of a 5ml teaspoon of powder twice a day with a
glass of water or fruit juice, tea or any beverage, an eighth
of a teaspoon for children. FOR BEST RESULTS, FINISH ENTIRE
30gm.
CAPSULES: Adults: 1 capsule
twice a day (morning and evening) with water. Children aged
12 and under: 1/2 capsule twice a day (morning and evening). IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO STOP YOUR OR YOUR CHILDS CURRENT
MEDICATION WITHOUT YOUR DOCTORS ADVICE.

2. What are the optimum times for taking Funtumia Elastica Powder?
|

The guide is really just twice a day,
at a decent interval of a good 6 hours - it does not have to be specifically at
mealtimes, although people usually find it easier not to forget to take the
dose if taken at these benchmarks in the day.

3. Does it have any known side effects? |
|

Unfortunately we are not at liberty to give you the full information we have to answer this question.
We do not recommend you take Funtumia Elastica if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

4. Are there any known drug interactions with Funtumia Elastica?

As most of our customers suffer from allergies of one type or another, it stands to
reason that in the decade that we have been selling Funtumia Elastica we have had a couple of reports of adverse reactions, but these have been mild. Please contact us for further information, as for legal reasons we are not allowed to post details on this website.
If you experience any signs that an adverse reaction is happening
to you when you take Funtumia Elastica you must stop immediately and consult
your healthcare specialist, and inform us so that we can advise others outside
of the UK of possible interactions.

6. Is it really safe? What tests have been done on it? |
|
| |
Yamoa
has been microbiologically analysed to clinically confirm that it is free from
nasties such as Salmonella and E-Coli, Faecal Coliforms and Faecal
streptococci. The conclusion to the tests was: "The analyses undertaken
provided no evidence of the presence of pathogenic bacteria on any of the
samples examined". We commissioned the test as some people prefer to see the
proof...although we have every confidence it is safe. These tests were conducted
in 2001, and since then each batch is routinely tested for pathogenic bacteria and heavy metals.
It has also been tested by the Centre for Scientific Research into Plant
Medicine (MINISTRY OF HEALTH), Ghana, by S. Osafaro-Mensah MSc. These tests
were performed between 1996 and 1998. Mr Osafaro's conclusions to the tests
were "The investigation and clinical trials conducted have shown that Yamoa is
safe for human use..and when the bark is dried it can be safely stored for up
to 6yrs before being ground for use".

9. Do you know what it is in Funtumia Elastica that is so effective, and if so

do now know, but we are not at liberty to divulge this information due to a confidentiality
agreement.

10. I am on a colon cleanse. Should I finish the cleanse before I start
Funtumia Elastica? |
|
| |
Yes, you
should wait incase the Funtumia Elastica is evacuated from the body before it
has a chance to take effect. Your digestive system should also be given a few days to
recover and rest from the cleanse before Funtumia Elastica is started, so it
would be ideal to wait for about four days to a week after the cleanse is over
before starting Funtumia Elastica.

11. I am pregnant. Can I take Funtumia Elastica? |

We recommend that you wait until
you have had your baby and finished breastfeeding before you start to take
Funtumia Elastica, purely as a precaution as there is no evidence to suggest that it is either safe or harmful to take Funtumia Elastica during pregnancy or breastfeeding. |

12. I have had absolutely no benefits from taking Funtumia Elastica. What are
your comments?

so rare that benefits are not experienced. We cannot give a guarantee that it
will be appropriate for everyone. We have many years of experience working with

13. How do you ship and how long does it take?
